Roundabouts, Carousels & Spinners

What is a playground roundabout?

A playground roundabout — also called a carousel or spinner — is a rotating play feature that spins when children push, pull or run with it. The sensation of spinning gives valuable vestibular stimulation, helping children develop balance, coordination and spatial awareness, and roundabouts are naturally sociable because several children ride and power them together. Morti supplies the full spread, from compact single-child spinners to large group carousels and flush wheelchair-accessible roundabouts.

The range

With more than 20 rotating units in stock, there's an option for every age group, space and ability, with prices from £1,915:

• Sit-on carousels — the Three-Arm Carousel, Seated Carousel with Rails and Three-Arm Seated Carousel for classic group spinning.
• Spinners & bowls — compact single-child units such as the Spinning Bowl Carousel, Tilted Spinner Seat and Rotating Balance Ring.
• Climb-and-spin — the Tarzan Ring Carousel, Rope-Cone Carousel and Rope-Cylinder Climbing Carousel for older, more confident children.
• Light-up — the Light-Up Star-Handle Carousel, whose own rotation powers colour lights built into the frame, with no batteries or mains supply.
• Inclusive & wheelchair-accessible — flush roundabouts including the Wheelchair-Accessible Roundabout, Large Inclusive Wheelchair Carousel and the Inclusive Roundabout with Safety Brake, so wheelchair users can spin alongside their friends.

Built for busy public playgrounds

Our roundabouts are built from galvanised, powder-coated steel with anti-slip HDPE or stainless decks, sealed maintenance-free bearings and anti-corrosion, plastic-capped fixings. Every unit is manufactured to BS EN 1176 and backed by our standard warranty: 48 months on the whole unit, 10 years on HDPE panels and 15 years on structural steelwork. Impact-absorbing surfacing appropriate to the free-fall height is required, and we can advise on the right surface for your site.

Who installs Morti roundabouts

Our rotating range is specified by primary and secondary schools, nurseries and early-years settings, SEND and special schools, local authorities and parish councils, housing developers, holiday parks, pubs and visitor attractions. We're happy to provide specifications and quotations to support a funding bid or tender, including school capital budgets, Section 106 contributions and local grants.
