What is a playground seesaw?

A playground seesaw (or see-saw) is a balancing play feature where children sit at either end of a pivoting beam and take turns rising and dipping. It's one of the most cooperative pieces in any playground — children have to work together to keep it moving — and it builds balance, leg strength and turn-taking. Morti supplies classic two-seat seesaws through to four-seat, spring-damped and inclusive platform models for every age group.

• Light & sound — the S-Curve Light & Sound Seesaw, whose rocking motion powers colour LEDs and built-in music, with no mains connection needed.
• Inclusive — the Inclusive Platform Seesaw and Net Saucer Seesaw for shared, accessible play.

Built for busy public playgrounds

Our seesaws are built from galvanised or stainless steel with anti-slip HDPE or rubber seats and decks, tyre or spring buffers or built-in damping to soften the bump, and anti-corrosion, plastic-capped fixings. Every unit is manufactured to BS EN 1176 and backed by our standard warranty: 48 months on the whole unit, 10 years on HDPE panels and 15 years on structural steelwork. Impact-absorbing surfacing appropriate to the free-fall height is required, and we can advise on the right surface for your site.

Who installs Morti seesaws

Our seesaw range is specified by primary and secondary schools, nurseries and early-years settings, SEND and special schools, local authorities and parish councils, housing developers, holiday parks, pubs and visitor attractions. We're happy to provide specifications and quotations to support a funding bid or tender, including school capital budgets, Section 106 contributions and local grants.
