Overview
A taller freestanding Robinia slide for schools and parks that want a longer ride in a small footprint. Children climb a stainless steel ladder to a Robinia platform at 1.8 m, hold the stainless handrails and rope grips, and slide down a 3.19 m stainless steel chute. It builds climbing confidence, coordination and balance for up to five children from age 3, and gives older children more speed than our 1.2 m slide. The posts are Robinia hardwood of about 18 cm diameter, set 0.6–0.8 m into the ground, and the slide installs in about 1.5 hours. It is certified to BS EN 1176-1:2017+A1:2023 and needs a 7.21 x 4.52 m safety zone (23.4 m²) with impact-absorbing surfacing. Site it so the chute does not face south.
